Ukrainian Armed Forces have received more than 60 samples of ammunition since the beginning of this year
Since the beginning of 2024, the Ministry of Defence has codified and approved more than 60 domestic ammunition samples of various types for the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
Here's What We Know
The list includes ammunition for drones, mortar shells, artillery shells, close combat equipment, and small arms ammunition produced by the national defence industry.
In particular, about 50 samples from this list are intended for drones of various types. These are primarily high-explosive fragmentation, high-explosive fragmentation, combined-action and multi-purpose munitions. Moreover, they have a completely different weight: from several hundred grams to several kilograms.
During the first half of 2024, more than 70 new domestic unmanned aerial systems were also adopted, which indicates continuous development and modernisation. The Ministry of Defence emphasises the simplification of codification procedures for new weapons and military equipment, which allows for faster adoption.
