After 16 years of waiting: Shrek 5 will premiere on 1 July 2026
We wrote that Dreamworks is working on the fifth part of Shrek, and now the studio has officially confirmed the cartoon and shared the first details.
Here's What We Know
Shrek 5 will be released on 1 July 2026. Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey), and Cameron Diaz (Fiona) will return to their roles.
The last Shrek film was released back in 2010, so we've been waiting 16 years for the return.
Walt Dorn will direct the film after working as a screenwriter on the second and third parts of the Green Ogre films.
