Xiaomi unveiled Smart Door Lock 2 with HyperOS on board and 3D facial recognition feature

Xiaomi has announced a new smart door lock in its home market in China.

We are talking about Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2. The novelty boasts of 3D structured light facial recognition technology that uses invisible rays to capture facial details. The entire process is contactless and automatic. The recognition feature works even for children who don't need to raise their heads high. The manufacturer assures that the technology does not trigger a photo or video.

The novelty also has an inbuilt tracking camera with a resolution of 2.3 MP, a 160° viewing angle and a person detection function. In addition to facial recognition, Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 offers many other ways to unlock, including fingerprint, password (fixed, virtual, temporary and cyclic), Bluetooth, emergency key, NFC card, Xiaomi phone, Xiaomi watch and Xiaomi wristband. The novelty runs on the HyperOS operating system. The device has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 is already available for pre-order in China at a price of $261. The novelty is unlikely to be available in the global market.
