Rumour: Microsoft will add "same-day release games" to Game Pass Standard in at least six months, and sometimes you'll have to wait a whole year
We wrote that Microsoft is raising Game Pass prices, removing the Game Pass console tariff, and adding Game Pass Standard, which is cheaper but won't have games available on release day. However, players have begun to wonder when the Standard will have games that are available on release day in the regular Game Pass.
Here's What We Know
Windows Central editor Jez Corden explained that it all depends on the individual game. Some games have a 6-month wait, while others will appear in Standard only after 12 months, or even longer.
As a reminder, Xbox Game Pass Standard offers you hundreds of games to play on your console. This subscription also offers all the benefits of Game Pass Core, including online multiplayer for consoles and select member offers and discounts, including up to 50% off select games. You will have to pay $15 per month for it.
