Honor Magic Vs3 unveiled: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, ultra-thin design, 5000 mAh battery and satellite connectivity

Honor has announced a new Magic Vs3 foldable smartphone, which although slightly thicker than the Magic V3, is still one of the thinnest smartphones on the market.

Here's What We Know

It measures 9.8mm thick when folded and 4.65mm thick when unfolded. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and weighs 229 grams in Velvet Black colour and 231 grams in other colours.

The Magic Vs3 has a 7.92-inch internal foldable screen with a resolution of 2344x2156 pixels and a 6.43-inch external display with a resolution of 1060x2376 pixels. Both OLED LTPO screens are 1-120Hz OLED LTPO, support 3840Hz PWM frequency and an eye protection mode with AI defocus.

The main camera is 50 MP (f/1.9 aperture, OIS), the ultra-wide-angle camera is 40 MP (f/2.2 aperture) and the periscopic telephoto camera is 8 MP (f/3.4 aperture, OIS, 5x optical zoom). For selfies, there are two identical 16 MP cameras on each display. The device has a 5000 mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and also has support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Link Turbo X network acceleration, USB Type-C 3.1 GEN1 port, satellite connectivity and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Magic Vs3 will be available in Velvet Black, Qilian Snow and Tundra Green colour options, as well as three storage options: 12/256GB for 6999 yuan ($965), 12/512GB for 7699 yuan ($1060) and 16GB/1TB for 8699 yuan ($1200). As of now, the smartphone is only available in China.
