Samsung's Android XR headset will be available for developers in October 2025
Although Samsung recently launched the Fold 6 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, the company is already focusing on its next big product, the XR headset.
Here's What We Know
According to Business Insider, Samsung's internal plans call for a developer version of the headset, codenamed "Moohan", to be released in October 2025. This will be followed by a consumer launch in March 2026.
Initially, the headset was expected to be released in the first quarter of 2024 to get ahead of Apple's Vision Pro. Samsung management feared that the device was not yet ready for release, so the launch was postponed.
Samsung is expected to become the first manufacturer to release glasses with Google's AR software. Google itself has no plans to produce its own XR hardware in the near future, focusing on prototyping displays and collaborating with partners.
