Samsung has started updating the Galaxy S23, S21 and S20 FE line of smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Flip 5 and Fold 5 smartphones in Europe to the July security update

Samsung continues to roll out the July security update for its devices. The update is now available for the Galaxy S23, S21 and S20 FE series, as well as the Galaxy Flip 5 and Fold 5 models.

Here's What We Know

This update only includes security patches, without the new One UI 6.1.1 features that were recently introduced on the Galaxy Flip 6 and Fold 6.

For the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra, the update weighs around 450MB and has a version number of S91*BXXS6CXFE1. For the Galaxy S20 FE, the update version ends with XXSBEXG1 and for the Galaxy S21, the version number is G99*BXXSCGXF5. The Fold 5 and Flip 5 models get versions F946BXXSXXS3CXG2 and F731BXXSXXS3CXG2 respectively.

The update includes over 25 security improvements for Android and around 33 for Samsung's software, including patches for One UI, Knox security and Secure Folder. The updates are currently rolling out in most of Europe.
