Leopard 2 tanks and anti-tank missiles: Spain sends new military aid package to Ukraine

The Spanish government has announced a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The information was shared by the Ministry of Defence of the country. The new aid package includes 10 Leopard 2A4 tanks. They were repaired at the factory Santa Bárbara Sistemas. In addition, Ukraine will receive a large number of anti-tank missiles and excavators. Deliveries of weapons have already begun.

Leopard 2 is a main battle tank created by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. Leopard 2 is the successor to the successful development of the Leopard 1 battle tank. Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine. A total of 3,200 tanks of this model were produced.
