Blizzard's unprecedented generosity: gamers get a free month of PC Game Pass subscription and look for hidden meaning in it

So far, insider information about the addition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) to the Game Pass service has not been confirmed, but Microsoft's subtle hints let us hope that it will still happen.

Recall that yesterday the company published a list of Game Pass novelties for the second half of July and recommended gamers to "stay tuned" so as not to miss an important message.

Today another unexpected promotion began.

Here's What We Know

Gamers are reporting that Blizzard is randomly sending out codes to users of its services for free activation of a monthly PC Game Pass subscription. The notice says that by activating the key before 24 July, players will be able to enjoy hundreds of games including Diablo IV, Sea of Thieves, Starfield and Forza Motorsport.

Gamers are speculating that such an invitation is somehow related to the addition of Activision Blizzard games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, to the Xbox Game Pass catalogue.

Surprisingly, neither Xbox nor Activision Blizzard has announced such a promotion.

As a reminder, at the moment only Diablo 4 is available in Game Pass from Activision Blizzard games.
