HMD Skyline: a smartphone with easy maintainability and a design like the Nokia N9

HMD, after months of rumours and leaks, has announced a new smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The novelty was named HMD Skyline. This is the top model of the manufacturer. The gadget received a design in the style of Nokia N9, as well as repairability "2nd generation". According to HMD, this means that users can change the device's screen or battery on their own using iFixit toolkits.

In terms of specs, HMD Skyline has been equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. At the top of the panel, they placed a hole for a 50 MP front camera with autofocus. The main camera got three sensors at 108 MP + 13 MP (wide-angle lens) + 50 MP (2x telephoto lens). The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chip and is powered by a 4,600 mAh battery. Out of the box, the smartphone runs Android 14 operating system. The manufacturer promises to update the gadget for 3 years: 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security patches.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The HMD Skyline will be priced at €499/$499/£399. There is no launch date for the device yet.
