The creators of Like a Dragon have a big announcement to make: Ryu Ga Gotoku will be presenting their new game at Tokyo Game Show 2024.

Recently, representatives of Ryu Ga Gotoku studio stated that their new game will "surprise gamers". Notably, this statement sounded in the context of the Like a Dragon franchise, which, as gamers assume, means a return to the famous series, which was previously called Yakuza.

The developers didn't say another word about the new game, but it became known that soon it will be shown to the public.

Here's What We Know

On the stream, the Japanese developers announced that they will unveil their game at Tokyo Game Show 2024, which will be held from 26 to 29 September.

This announcement excited fans of Ryu Ga Gotoku, who again began to speculate about what the studio is preparing.

The most obvious options were a sequel/spin-off Like a Dragon or a sequel to the detective drama Judgment (and Lost Judgment).

Some have speculated that TGS 2024 will see the announcement of a remake of Yakuza: Dead Souls, a failed 2011 game that is only available on PlayStation 3.

In any case, Ryu Ga Gotoku knows how to produce quality games and will surely not disappoint its loyal fans.
