The developers of the cooperative action game The Precinct have announced that the game's release will be postponed to autumn 2024
Last year, The Precinct made a splash by promising a top-down action game inspired by the classic GTAs, where the player plays the role of a rookie cop rather than a criminal. On the eve of the game's release, developer Fallen Tree Games and publisher Kwalee announced a delay.
Here's What We Know
Originally scheduled for 15 August, the game release was postponed to autumn this year. Fallen Tree Games explained that additional time is needed to further refine the gameplay, improve quality, and fix bugs. The studio emphasised its commitment to providing an immersive and high-quality gaming experience.
The statement said that after careful consideration, both the developers and the Kwalee team have concluded that it is not possible to meet the original deadline of 15 August. Therefore, they reluctantly decided to postpone the release to autumn 2024. The extra time will allow for a seamless gameplay experience that is consistent with the original concept of The Precinct.
Where To Play
The Precinct will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
