It turns out that the Samsung Galaxy Ring can work with any Android smartphone
Samsung on 10 July unveiled the Galaxy Ring, a smart ring that appears to work not only with Galaxy devices but also with other Android smartphones.
Here's What We Know
Although the company initially claimed compatibility only with its own devices, it turns out that the ring can be used with any Android phone. To do so, you need to install the Galaxy Wearable app from the Google Play Store and go through the setup process.
There are some reviews out there claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Ring only works on a Samsung device, therefore it doesn't work on other Android devices.

Some features, such as Energy Score and Galaxy AI health recommendations, remain exclusive to Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Ring has sensors to measure heart rate, sleep, temperature, and workouts, but no GPS. It is waterproof up to 100 metres and lasts up to 7 days on a single charge. The ring is available in three colours and nine sizes, priced at $400 in the US and €449 in Europe.
