Google Store launches extended post-purchase support for Pixel and Fitbit devices in the US

The Google Store in the US has announced the expansion of its post-purchase support for Pixel, Smart Home, and Fitbit devices. This step is aimed at improving customer service and providing users with convenient access to the help they need.

Here's What We Know

Previously, the Support option was available only in the international Google Store, where it led to the support.google.com/store page, which contained only information about purchases, payments and shipping. Now, Support has been added to the US store, alongside product categories (phones, headphones, tablets, watches and trackers, smart home, accessories) and offers.

After clicking on "Support", users are taken to the Google Hardware Support page, where they are offered quick links to start repairs, manage orders, and get help with purchases. Google further breaks down support by category:

  • Pixel phone: Links to common problems and Google Support articles, as well as resources such as Trade-in information, guides, Pixel simulator, device financing, Nest compatibility checker, Preferred Care, Pixel setup help, YouTube device information, and in-person appointments.
  • Pixel Buds: Links to common issues and Google Support articles.
  • Pixel Tablet: Links to common issues and Google Support articles.
  • Pixel Watch: Links to common issues and articles from Google Support.
  • Fitbit: Links to common issues and articles from Google Support.
  • Smart Home: Ability to filter by product: Home app, Nest Thermostat, Nest Speakers & Displays, Nest Cameras & Doorbells, Nest WiFi, Door Lock, Smoke & CO Alarms, and Streaming (Chromecast). Links to common issues and Google support articles for each product.

In addition, users can now access support via call or chat for:

  • Purchases and orders
  • Pixel phones
  • Pixel watches
  • Smart home
  • Pixel tablets
  • Pixel Buds headphones
  • Fitbit
