Ukrainian indie developer Dmytro Yarynych has shown the first teaser trailer for his adventure game Tailgate. In it, players will play as a lost Labrador.

Here's What We Know

Tailgate is a game about Hyde, a pet dog whose life is turned upside down when he suddenly finds himself alone. The trailer shows how Hyde tries to solve the mystery of the disappearance of his human, Derek, using his keen sense of smell and canine skills. The path to the goal stretches through various places in the village of San Pedro and the mystical canine world, full of challenges and colourful characters.

The prototype of Hyde is Dmitry's 9-year-old dog Obi, who in his advanced years likes to stay at home and spend time with his owner.

Main features of Tailgate:

- Up to 9 different levels-locations - village streets, a building materials warehouse, a fortress of sulphurous
homeless people, a wild steppe, an abandoned animal shelter, a mysterious parallel dog world;
- Think and see like a dog - sniff around to find tracks, directions, objects and
hidden passages.
- Communicate with other animals, because you will need help and their unique abilities. Meet a cat who can read (or so she says); a pug with diplomatic skills; a stray who will teach you survival skills and the history of the dog species;.
- Find memory balls so Hyde can tell you about his life and share his canine wisdom.
- Top up your stamina and get temporary boosts.
- And finally, be a doodlebug - play with balls, sticks and stones, try to catch up with the cat, try strange delicacies!

Players will be able to try Tailgate very soon, and Dmytro plans to release a demo version of the game in autumn. Tailgate will have a Ukrainian localisation and will be available on Steam, with releases on other platforms also possible.
