Lockheed Martin has delivered the first batch of F-16 Block 70 fighter jets to Slovakia
Slovakia has received the first F-16 Block 70 fighter jets into service.

This was revealed by the manufacturer Lockheed Martin on social media. We are talking about two aircraft. They landed in Slovakia on the evening of 22 July.
Slovakia's first two F-16 Block 70 jets have been delivered by @LockheedMartin, marking a new era of enhanced defence capabilities for the Slovak Air Force.

The Slovak Air Force is to receive a total of 14 Block 70 F-16s. They will replace the old Soviet MiG-29 fighters.
By the way, Slovakia signed a contract for the purchase of F-16 Block 70 in 2018. The amount of the contract was 1.58 billion euros. This amount also includes the training of 22 pilots and 160 maintenance personnel.

The F-16 Block 70 is the latest modification of the F-16 multi-role fighter developed by Lockheed Martin. It is equipped with advanced active phased array (AESA) radars, improved avionics and communications systems, and more powerful engines.
