Zelenskyy: Ukraine has made progress in creating domestic missiles

According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian defence industry has made progress in developing its own missiles that can hit targets at a great distance.

Here's What We Know

Before making the announcement about the success of the Ukrainian missile development, Zelenskyy held a meeting with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Bargylevych.

"Our task is to ensure by all means and with all our strength the constant effective defeat of Russian troops, their logistics, their significant positions not only at the front, but also throughout the available depths," the president said.

He also added that while Ukraine is waiting for its partners' decisions, the Ukrainian defence industry is looking for other solutions.

In addition to the already successful R-360 Neptune anti-ship missile, which has been used successfully to hit Russian targets, the focus is also on the Korshun-2 cruise missile and the Coral anti-aircraft guided missile.

Ukraine also once developed the Grom-2 operational and tactical missile system for striking single and group stationary targets at a distance of 50 to 280 km.
