The first iPhones with Samsung sensors are expected to debut in 2026. If rumours are to be believed, the new products will come with a 1/2.6-inch 48-megapixel CMOS image sensor.
By the way, for many years Apple bought CMOS image sensors for the iPhone exclusively from Sony. But in recent times, the company decided to change suppliers because of their reliability and the need to incorporate their technology into the camera system.
