Samsung may introduce its variants of Dynamic Island and Live Activities features from iOS in One UI 7.0

Samsung is preparing to unveil the One UI 7.0 update, which is rumoured to bring two popular iOS features to users, Dynamic Island and Live Activities.

Here's What We Know

Dynamic Island, first introduced by Apple in the iPhone 14 Pro lineup, lets you use the space around the notch on the screen to display useful information such as timers, music controls, and interaction with Apple Pay and Face ID. Live Activities, on the other hand, are notifications on the lock screen that automatically update to show live sports scores, for example.

One UI 7.0 is also expected to offer variations of these features, and is also expected to prepare significant design improvements, more colourful app icons and smoother animations. Users will soon be able to participate in a beta programme to test the new version of the interface along with Android 15. It is not yet known exactly what Samsung will call its versions of these features and what additional features they will offer.
