Just say where you want to go: Google Maps for Wear OS gets a redesigned look and new features for fast navigation

Following the addition of public transport routes earlier this year, Google Maps for Wear OS has received an updated UI design and two new complications.

Here's What We Know

The main map screen now has a convenient button for quick location search. Previously, there were two separate buttons for home and work, and now everything has been combined into one. In addition, a voice search function has been added - just say where you want to go. The microphone in the line immediately opens voice search for quick location.

There is also a button that immediately opens the map.

The absence of unnecessary elements makes the interface more concise. In addition, there are two new complications for quick access to the main functions. One for Search on Maps, which launches voice input, and another for Show Map.

This updated UI element and new complications are available in version 11.137.0703.W of Google Maps for Wear OS.
