Mutual conflicts and political intrigue: Frostpunk 2 developers revealed what will happen in the game when weather conditions improve

Developers from 11 bit icthudios continue to introduce gamers to Frostpunk 2 strategy and published the third instalment of the City Unbound series. In the previous videos we talked about what happened in thirty years after the events of the first part of the series, and Frostpunk 2's game director spoke about the importance of planning residential neighbourhoods and industrial zones in the ambitious strategy when building cities.

Now Polish developers shared the subtleties of the political structure of the society of the post-apocalyptic world.

Here's What We Know

Game director and design director of Frostpunk 2 Jakub Stokalski reminded that in the new strategy players will not only have to survive in a cold climate, but also to calculate actions in case of improvement of climatic factors.

The developer explained that as soon as people lose the need to survive, they will find many reasons for internecine struggle, political intrigues and imposing their views.

Players need to remember that every action they take has far-reaching consequences and can both improve relations with one of the factions in the city and lead to full-blown conflict. And since people can form armed factions, there is a high chance of a bloody clash for power in the city.

When We Can Expect It

Frostpunk 2 will be released on the 20th of September. At first the game will be available only on PC, but later it will be released on consoles as well, and will be available in the Game Pass catalogue from day one.
