Samsung has shown what the new premium Galaxy Watch Ultra watch is made up of
Samsung unveiled its first "Ultra" smart watch this year, aiming to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra. The Galaxy Watch Ultra offers a premium build and accurate activity and health monitoring technology. The company recently released images of the watch disassembled, showing off its internal components.
Here's What We Know
The Galaxy Watch Ultra consists of seven major components: the bioactive sensor, back deco, back case, printed circuit board assembly (PBA), display, and index deco. Of particular note is the new bioactive sensor, which is more accurate thanks to 13 LEDs, compared to the Watch 7's 4 LEDs. Samsung claims that the sensor offers 30 per cent more accuracy compared to previous models.
The watch also features a titanium case, making it more durable and long-lasting compared to the Watch 7's stainless steel. The PBA includes the new Exynos W1000 processor. Samsung claims the new chip delivers 3.4 times the single-core performance and 3.7 times the multi-core performance of the previous generation, while consuming 30 per cent less power. The Galaxy Watch Ultra's display has a brightness of up to 3000 nits, allowing it to be used even in bright sunlight.
