Sonic X Shadow Generation download file size on Nintendo Switch is 13.1 GB

The release of the extended remaster of Sonic X Shadow Generations will take place in a few months, so we can assume that Sega will start actively sharing details about the game in the coming weeks, but until then, we will have to be content with the little information that has managed to leak out. Thus, we have recently learned about the size of the game's download file for the Nintendo Switch console.

Here's What We Know

Thanks to an update to the Nintendo eShop page, we've learned that Sonic X Shadow Generations will take up approximately 13.1 GB of free space on your Switch. For comparison: Sonic Colors Ultimate, the latest Sonic 3D remaster, took up only 6.8 GB (albeit a smaller game), while Sonic Frontiers required as much as 15.3 GB.

It is not known how much the game will take on other platforms, but it is safe to say that it will take up more space there.

Where To Play

In addition to Nintendo Switch, the game will also be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC.

When We Can Expect It

Sonic X Shadow Generations is scheduled for release on the 25th of October this year.
