Helldivers 2 is going to be hot! Developers unveiled Freedom's Flame themed weapon and armour set

Arrowhead Studios and Sony have unveiled a new set of in-game items for the popular co-operative shooter Helldivers 2.

Here's What We Know

The next Premium Warbond is called Freedom's Flame and features a fiery theme.

The set will include three new weapons:

• SG-451 Cookout - a pump-action shotgun that fires incendiary phosphorus shot;
• FLAM-66 Torcher - a light flamethrower;
• P-72 Crisper - a pocket flamethrower that is effective at short ranges (auxiliary weapon).

New armour will also appear:

• I-09 Heatseeker - a suit with blood-red plates that are forged in righteous flames, "like the heroes they are meant to protect";
• I-102 Draconaught - armour covered in a 14 centimetre thick layer of quartz-fibre foam that leaves ear holes in it;
• a new passive effect for the armour - 75% fire resistance.

Developers will add to Freedom's Flame new capes, incendiary hell pods, a special colouring for the shuttle, the title "Chief Firefighter" and a themed exosuit in the colour "signal orange".

When We Can Expect It

Freedom's Flame set will be available in Helldivers 2 from 8 August, and the shooter will get its biggest update yet on 6 August with new enemies, difficulty levels and redesigned missions.
