"The end is near": the developers of Dead Cells have named the release date of the last update that will end support for the popular game

Motion Twin Studios has revealed the release date of The End is Near update, which will complete the content support for the popular metroidvania Dead Cells.

Here's What We Know

The final update will be released on the 19th of August and will add more enemies, weapons and mutations that interact with the curse mechanics. The developers will introduce 40 new heads for the protagonist and set the exit from the Host Citadel in the royal castle.

After this update, which is the thirty-fifth, the developers will continue to release technical updates if needed, but there will be no more new content in the game.

The end of support for Dead Cells is not only due to the solid age of the game, but also due to the busyness of the developers. Recall, Motion Twin studio is busy completing the development of the colourful cooperative roguelike action game Windblown, which was announced in December 2023 at The Game Awards show.
