Already on the 15th of August Crytek studio will release an updated version of the network shooter Hunt: Showdown, after which the game will be subtitled "1896" and will no longer be available on last generation consoles.

To attract additional attention of gamers, German developers will hold a large-scale event.

Here's What We Know

From 15 August to 7 October in Hunt: Showdown 1896 will be held an event called "Scorched Earth" (Scorched Earth). Its details are not revealed yet, but the spectacular and atmospheric trailer makes it clear that the events will unfold on a new map Mammon's Gulch, which for the first time will take players not to the swamps of Louisiana, but to the mountains of Colorado.

New cosmetic items, special rewards, themed quests and other content may be waiting for gamers.

With the release of Hunt: Showdown 1896, thanks to the transition to a more modern version of the CryEngine engine, the game will have new features and high-resolution textures, improved performance, quality of graphics and lighting. Crytek will also take care of improving the soundtrack.

On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series players will be offered support for native 4K at 60 fps (2K at 60 fps for Xbox Series S).
