Supermassive Games' space horror Directive 8020 to be unveiled at gamescom 2024: gamers can expect a sequel to The Dark Pictures anthology
Supermassive Games Studios has released the fourth instalment of The Dark Pictures' horror anthology The Devil in Me in 2022.
This game completed the first season of the anthology, which is planned to include eight games. At the end of The Devil in Me gamers saw a teaser of the next horror game, which will be set in space in a far future setting.

The 2022 teaser featured the title The Dark Pictures: Directive 8020 and Supermassive Games' announcement leaves no doubt that this is the game that will be unveiled at gamescom 2024.

At best, the space horror will be released in mid-2025, as Supermassive Games is currently finishing development on The Casting of Frank Stone, a thriller set in the Dead by Daylight universe, as well as preparing Little Nightmares III for release, so the British developers clearly don't have enough time to release a third game as well.
