Xiaomi has announced that there will be no easy way to disable system ads
Xiaomi has long been known for its affordable and feature-rich smartphones, but users often complain about ads in the interface. Recent rumours suggested that the company is working on the ability to disable ads completely, but Xiaomi has officially denied these expectations.
Here's What We Know
Xiaomi has confirmed that it will not be adding an easy way to disable system ads in its devices. Despite rumours of a possible feature, the company said that it has no plans to introduce the switch as only a small number of users will use it.
Currently, disabling ads requires a complicated multi-step process that involves searching for the MSA app in settings and disabling ads in individual apps such as File Manager, Music, and Downloads. Xiaomi plans to improve user experience by reducing the number of pre-installed apps and login pages to display content, which could reduce malware. However, the lack of a dedicated switch to switch off adverts will disappoint many users who were hoping for a simpler solution. It remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will reconsider its stance in the future.
