Galaxy Watches will get Google's School Time feature

Google has announced a new School Time feature that will soon be available on Android devices and Wear OS Galaxy watches. This feature will allow parents to limit their children's interaction with devices during school, ensuring a productive environment.

Here's What We Know

School Time, activated through Family Link, sets a dark screen with limited functions on phones and watches, blocking access to certain apps and communications.

The feature will be available for Android smartphones and tablets, as well as for Galaxy watches, including Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch Ultra. Active devices will display a lock notification until a certain time. This new option will help parents monitor their children's online activity and reduce their screen time.

Later this summer, Google also plans to integrate with YouTube, allowing parents to further control their children's content and activity.
