The final episode of the second season of House of the Dragon, the prequel to the acclaimed Game of Throne, was released today.

Fans of the cult franchise are already eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story of the political struggle of the Targaryens dynasty (Targaryens), but this is not the only thing that the film company HBO is preparing.

Here's What We Know

The creator of the series of novels "A Song of Ice and Fire" (A Song of Ice and Fire) and one of the producers of the above-mentioned series George Martin said that in addition to the continuation of "House of the Dragon" in production is seven more projects, the events of which will unfold in the universe of Westeros.

The writer stressed that we are talking about three TV series and four animated projects, and this list does not include the series "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), which will be released at the end of 2025 and will tell the story of the knight Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg - the future king Aegon V Targaryen.

So far, these seven new projects are still in the approval stage and it is not a fact that some of them will not be cancelled. As of now, only details about the following projects are known:

  • a third series, according to unconfirmed information, will tell the story of Robert Baratheon's rebellion, in which Ned Stark (Eddard Stark) took part - in fact, it will be a direct prequel to Game of Thrones;
  • one of the animated series is planned to focus on the sea voyages of Corlys Velaryon from "House of the Dragon";
  • a second animated series will tell the story of the Golden Empire of Yi Ti.
