Google unveils new Google TV Streamer: more powerful, with updated design and smart home features

Google has announced the launch of the new Google TV Streamer, which will go on sale later in September. The device has an updated design that looks like a wireless charging pad and supports the function of a smart home centre thanks to Thread radio.

Here's What We Know

Compared to previous models, the new Streamer has an improved processor that is 22% faster and 32 GB of storage.

An important new feature is the updated remote control with a new button layout and a textured back for better grip. The device supports 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Spatial Audio, as well as integration with the Google Home panel.

Google TV Streamer will be available in Porcelain and Hazel colours.
