Huawei presents new MatePad Air 2024: ultra-thin metal body, 2.8K screen with 144Hz refresh rate
Huawei has announced a new model of the MatePad Air tablet, which features improved features and higher display quality compared to the previous generation.

The new device has an all-metal body weighing 555 grams and measuring just 5.9 mm thick. The tablet has a 144Hz refresh rate, 2.8K resolution, peak brightness of up to 1000 nits and a wide P3 colour gamut.
Soft Light Edition provides a comfortable viewing experience, reducing eye strain.
MatePad Air supports Huawei M-Pencil (3rd generation) and Star Flash keyboard, and has a 10,100 mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The tablet is available in several colours and configurations:
- 8GB + 256GB for around $420,
- 12 GB + 256 GB for about $462,
- and Soft Light versions from $504 to $560.
The Huawei MatePad Air 2024 was announced in several colour variants, including pink, green, white and grey. The pre-sale will start in China on 13 August 2024.
