Google may add dual camera and display support to Gmail for video calls via Google Meet
Google is working on introducing new features to the Gmail app, including dual camera and dual display support for video calls via Google Meet.
Here's What We Know
According to APK analysis, the new features may allow the front and rear cameras of the device to be used simultaneously, as well as integrate dual display support, which will allow content to be displayed on both screens of the phone.
The code for the Gmail version (2024.07.28.657813293.Release) contains settings for activating and deactivating these features, which indicates that the user experience during video calls may be improved. There is also a new option for attaching photos directly from the camera, which will make it easier to share images.
Additionally, it has been revealed that new settings may allow for better management of smart features and personalisation for Google Workspace users, although access to these settings has not yet been confirmed.
