Croatia to purchase US HIMARS missile systems
Croatia wants to purchase M142 HIMARS missile systems from the United States as part of the modernisation of its armed forces.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that in addition to purchasing French Rafale multirole fighters, his country continues to upgrade its army.
In particular, Croatia plans to purchase American HIMARS missile systems, which have proven themselves on the battlefield in Ukraine. It has also already started the process of purchasing 155 mm Caesar self-propelled artillery systems from France.
The modernisation will also include the purchase of modern Western tanks for the ground forces and the re-equipment of the Croatian Navy. According to Prime Minister Plenković, Croatia has the ability to rely on its own forces, as well as to strengthen its potential within the European Union and NATO.
According to sources, by the end of 2024, the Croats may sign a contract with the Americans worth about $300 million for the purchase of HIMARS. Also, negotiations on this deal reportedly lasted for about two years.
