Xiaomi 15 Ultra can offer 200MP overscopic telephoto lens with 4x zoom lens

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new series of Xiaomi 15 smartphones, which will include the Ultra model with the most advanced specs in the lineup. And here's what is known about it at the moment.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature four cameras, just like its predecessor Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Among these cameras, it is rumoured that there will be a 200-megapixel periscopic telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom.

The smartphone may also get a dual-layer OLED display with 2K resolution and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security. The device will run on Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0 shell.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to debut in the first half of 2025 and will be powered by the yet to be announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The smartphone is also expected to get a 6200 mAh battery for long battery life.

The Xiaomi 15 series, including the 15 and 15 Pro models, could hit the market as early as later this year, becoming some of the first devices based on the new flagship Snapdragon processor.
