Sales of the card game Balatro have exceeded 2 million copies: the developer is preparing a major update and some surprises for gamers
The card game Balatro has become one of the biggest hits of 2024, with over 500,000 copies sold in just ten days.
Six months after its release, the game continues to be hugely popular and developer LocalThunk has boasted a new achievement.

The game designer said that Balatro's sales exceeded 2 million copies - it's a great result for an indie game, which had no serious marketing campaign and in general it is made in a rather niche genre.
The developer also said that he's not going to end support for Balatro and that a major update will be released in 2025, but until then, gamers are in for two surprises.

Balatro is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac OS. Android and iOS ports are planned.
