TikTok owner launches Faceu AI app for video creation

ByteDance, the company that owns TikTok, has officially launched a new AI-powered video creation app called Faceu.

This novelty is available in the iOS App Store, but so far only for Chinese users. It allows to create videos based on text prompts, similar to the way AI image generators do it.

Faceu raises concerns about the possible growth of misinformation and influence on filmmakers as AI technology continues to improve. Although the app is currently focused on lighthearted content for social media, its impact on the video market could be significant.
