Remedy Entertainment studio has published its financial report for the first half of 2024.

We are sincerely glad that the talented Finnish developers are doing well financially, but we want to dwell not on the figures of income and expenses, but on what is really interesting for gamers.

Here's What We Know

Remedy's newest game Alan Wake II is not yet profitable, but has almost completely recouped the costs of production and marketing. Recall that in autumn Remedy and Epic Games will releaseRemedy and Epic Games will release physical collector's and deluxe editions of the console versions of Alan Wake 2: pre-order now open, which will help to improve the business performance of the horror game.

Remedy Studios is currently developing several ambitious projects in addition to The Lake House add-on for Alan Wake II.

A brief summary of Remedy's game production progress

  • The action game Control 2 has moved to the production-ready stage: the studio already has an early playable build that shows employees and potential publishers the general direction of the project and, most importantly, its features;
  • the remake of the first two parts of Max Payne has entered the active production phase: the studio is working on creating a playable prototype for private demonstrations;
  • full-fledged development of the shooter codenamed Condor has started: several maps and missions are already ready, the studio is conducting closed tests to determine the further path of the project's development.

Remedy is taking steps to establish full autonomy in creativity and does not rule out that in the future it will self-publish its games or sign more favourable contracts. It is for this purpose that the studio Remedy Entertainment became the sole owner of the rights to the Control franchise from publisher 505 Games.
