The DOOM Eternal shooter came out in 2020, but only now are Bethesda and id Software adding official support for custom modifications.
Here's What We Know
PC Mod Preview toolkit (in Steam beta branch) became available to everyone, which allows you to view, download and run modifications.
The developers have also released the beta version of idStudio, which is available only on Steam and allows you to create and share mods for Steam and Microsoft Store users.
It's worth noting that it's thanks to mods and constant community activity that most Bethesda games remain popular even after decades, so this step of the developers will allow DOOM Eternal fans to regularly receive new content and modify the game themselves.

- More brutality and less drive: QuakeCon 2024 attendees share their impressions of DOOM: The Dark Age private screening
- A shooter classic in an updated form: Bethesda releases a compilation with enhanced versions of DOOM + DOOM II on all platforms
- Steam has launched a sale in honour of QuakeCon festival: discounts of up to 85% are available on Fallout, DOOM, Quake, Wolfenstein and other Bethesda games.
