X now lets you sort responses correctly on iPhone

X has introduced a new feature for iPhone users that allows you to sort replies to tweets. From now on, you can choose between three options: most relevant, newest, and most liked. This will help to avoid situations where comments from paid users with a blue tick fill the reply section with irrelevant content.

Here's What We Know

The new feature is already available on both iOS and the web. Although it doesn't save your favourite sorting between sessions, it's still a significant step forward in improving the quality of the reply section.

After Elon Musk bought Twitter in 2022, the platform introduced an $8 per month X Premium subscription that allowed users with a blue tick to increase the visibility of their replies. In 2023, X Premium+ was introduced for $16 per month, which further increased visibility.

This system resulted in an increase in self-promotion and posts from paid users, as they could easily bump up their replies to popular tweets.
