HyperOS 2.0 is expected to feature improved performance as well as expanded support for older smartphone models
Xiaomi is gearing up to release the HyperOS 2.0 update, which promises significant performance improvements and expanded support for older devices.
Here's What We Know
The first version of HyperOS, introduced last year, faced a number of issues, including bugs and poor performance on some smartphones. Xiaomi is now reportedly investing heavily in optimising the system to provide a smoother and more responsive user interface, and the company will also expand its artificial intelligence capabilities.
HyperOS 2.0 is expected to improve cold startup, eliminate lock screen inconveniences, and improve car connectivity. In addition, the new version of the OS will be compatible with a wider range of older devices, allowing more users to take advantage of the new features. It is also rumoured that HyperOS 2.0 will include a "Camera Scan" feature that uses WLAN signals to detect hidden cameras, enhancing user privacy.
The update is expected to launch alongside the Xiaomi 15 series at the end of October. HyperOS was first introduced with the Xiaomi 14 series in October last year, replacing MIUI and has since been expanded to other devices.
