Google Wallet will be able to create a wide variety of digital badges using AI
Google Wallet has unveiled a new feature that allows you to create digital versions of various passes using artificial intelligence.
Here's What We Know
Users can now scan and save IDs, tickets, business cards, medical passes, and other documents in the app. The feature, announced at the Google I/O conference in May, replaces the previous "Photos" option in the "Add to Wallet" menu. The new option, called "Everything Else," eliminates the need to search for PDFs in emails or use other apps to access the documents you want.
When selecting the "Everything Else" option, the app asks for permission to process sensitive information and organises it into categories, such as a private pass, medical pass or driving licence. Users can take photos of the badges, adjust the details and approve the final product. While the feature is only available in the U.S. for now, Google plans to expand it to more devices soon.
