Google releases Pixel 9 Pro Fold in September: updated design, more powerful display and $1799 price
Google has announced the release of a new foldable smartphone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which will go on sale in September 2024 at a price of $1,799. This is the second generation of the company's foldable devices that has received significant hardware updates.

In particular, the external display now has a diagonal of 6.3 inches, while the internal display has been increased to 8 inches with a maximum brightness of 2700 nits. The updated design with satin-finish aluminium makes the device lighter and thinner, with a weight reduction of 25g and a folded thickness of just 10.5mm.
Pixel 9 Pro Fold is equipped with a Google Tensor G4 chip, 16 GB of RAM, and a choice of 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. The device's camera has a 48-megapixel main sensor and three additional lenses, including an ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto camera with 5x zoom. The smartphone supports new features from Google, including Video Boost and Add Me.
The 4650 mAh battery provides up to 24 hours of operation. The device runs on Android 14 and will receive 7 years of security and feature updates.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be available in two colours: Obsidian and Porcelain, and pre-orders are already open.
