Impressive: a short teaser for Assassin's Creed Shadows shows off an updated parkour system and new character movement animations
Many gamers are sceptical about Assassin's Creed Shadows, and for a variety of reasons: someone dislikes Ubisoft's approach to creating games, someone does not like the self-repeating series, some are outraged by the developers' disregard for historical accuracy, and a number of gamers point out that in each part of the series only the scenery changes, and the mechanics, assets and even animations remain the same.
As if especially for the last category of "critics" Ubisoft presented a short but interesting video.
Here's What We Know
On the Assassin's Creed in X page, the developers published a 35-second gameplay teaser, in which they showed brand new animations when moving. In the footage, shinobi girl Naoe deftly jumps on the roofs of pagodas, gracefully climbs various ledges, uses grappling hook to overcome long distances between buildings.
All these actions are accompanied by completely new animations, and we must admit that they look really spectacular, impressive and, most importantly, fresh.
Perhaps this is the biggest change in the character movement system since Assassin's Creed Unity (2014). It's worth noting that only Naoe will have such acrobatic skills, while Yasuke relies on brute strength and lacks agility.
When We Can Expect It
Assassin's Creed Shadows will be released on 15 November on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and eventually the game is planned to be released on iOS.
