New leaked images confirm the design of the base iPhone 16

Mockup photos of the iPhone 16 published by Weibo user Witty Cat surfaced online the other day, showing two of the five alleged finishes that confirm the previously speculated design of the base model.

Here's What We Know

The images show the back of the device with vertically aligned cameras, which could allow for spatial video recording on the base model. The regular iPhone 16 is likely to get an action button, which is now exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Notably, the LED flash has been moved to the right of the camera, which avoids increasing the diameter of the protrusion.

Apart from white and black finishes, the iPhone 16 may be offered in blue, green and pink colours. Apple is likely to choose richer colours for this release. Given the many leaks, we can assume that the iPhone 16 design is already finalised and the smartphone is almost ready for release. Apple is expected to officially announce the iPhone 16 series on 10 September.
