Google launches sale of magnetic wallets for Pixel 9 that require a case

New accessories for the Pixel 9 series have been added to the Google Store, including several magnetic wallets from Google partners. Interestingly, they are not compatible with the new phones without a special case.

Magnetic wallets became popular after the debut of Apple's MagSafe and now Google offers two options: from Mous for $44.99 and Case-Mate for $40.

The Case-Mate is made of "premium vegan leather" and holds 2-4 cards. Mous offers a leather wallet with silicone dots on the back for grip, which can hold up to 3 cards.

While these accessories are a handy addition, they are not compatible with any of the new Google Pixel 9 phones, as the updated lineup does not include the Qi2 standard.

Pixel 9 cases from Mous, Case-Mate, and Bellroy are available in the Google Store to ensure compatibility with magnetic accessories.
