Epic Games Store launches on iOS and Android after a long court battle

The Epic Games Store has officially launched on iOS and Android. The event comes after a four-year legal battle that began when Fortnite was removed from the App Store and Google Play for circumventing Apple and Google's payment systems.

Here's What We Know

Android users worldwide and iOS users in the EU can now play Fortnite, Rocket League Sideswipe and Fall Guys on their devices again. The installation requires an iPhone with iOS 17.6 or Android 7.0 and above. The download file size is 25MB.

Epic Games has confirmed that the games support cross-platform account progression. Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, thanked the European Commission for facilitating the launch of the iOS shop in the EU.

Epic Games also plans to release its games on other third-party app shops such as AltStore PAL and Aptoide Store for iOS, as well as One Store for Android. Exclusive games for Epic Games' mobile shop are expected in the future.
