Google has changed the Pixel 9 testing rules for tech experts and bloggers
Google held a successful presentation of the Pixel 9 series, but shortly afterwards negative news emerged for technobloggers and experts who received the new devices before the start of mass sales.
Here's What We Know
According to a report by The Verge, Google required tech influencers who received Pixel 9 devices before their official release not to show them next to competitors' products or claim a preference for other brands. These terms were part of the Team Pixel programme, which tech experts can only join by invitation.
The Team Pixel agreement specified that techno-experts must use Google Pixel devices instead of competing devices. Google's communications manager Kayla Geier acknowledged that the wording was in error and has already been removed. Some reviewers have left the programme, believing their ability to give honest reviews is at risk. Google stressed that the Team Pixel programme is designed to pitch devices to content creators, not press and tech reviewers.
