Windows 11 update gives users more control over power consumption settings

Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 update (build 27686) that includes important improvements aimed at improving battery life on laptops and giving users more control over power settings.

Here's What We Know

Users can now select power modes based on the situation: 'Best Performance' when plugged in and 'Best Power Efficiency' when running on battery power. This allows you to enjoy maximum performance when performing resource-intensive tasks and save battery power when the device is unplugged. Users can easily adjust these settings by going to Settings > System > Power & Battery.

The update also improves HDR support, which makes high dynamic range content more vivid and realistic, and improves the performance of the FAT32 file system.

The company encourages users to share feedback on the new features via the Feedback Centre to help further improve the system.
