Abandon all hope: no new Hollow Knight: Silksong trailer will be unveiled at the gamescom 2024 opening ceremony

For several years, a huge number of gamers have been dreaming if not about the release, then at least about the announcement of the release date of Hollow Knight: Silksong - the sequel to the famous metroidvania 2017.

Team Cherry studio is in no hurry to share details about the game, only advised gamersafew months ago to ""Guys, hang in there!" - Hollow Knight: Silksong developers will continue to work on the game." Many fans of the game hoped that at gamescom 2024 will sound at least some information about Hollow Knight: Silksong, but apparently it will not happen.

Here's What We Know

Geoff Keighley, the organiser and host of the gamescom Opening Night Live event, said that no new content about Hollow Knight: Silksong will be presented at Opening Night Live.

Sure, there's a faint hope that the highly anticipated Metroidvania will be unveiled on some other day of the show, such as during the Xbox show, but this game deserves to be shown at the event's main show. And if that doesn't happen, fans are left with hope for The Game Awards 2024 or the Tokyo Game Show.

Recall, the announcement of Hollow Knight: Silksong sounded in 2019 and only a few trailers of the game have been released since then, so the impatience of fans is understandable.

Opening Night Live will kick off at 8pm (CEST) on 20 August and will last for two hours.
